Boys + Bear playing in the bed

After spending Spring Break week in my motor home I woke up in my apartment, in my own bed, disoriented; couldn’t find the bathroom for a nighttime visit without putting a light on.

Shakedown Cruise

April 12, 2015 Clancy McKenna

I picked The Winster up from Ed’s friend Bill who has kindly offered part of his driveway to store it until end of June. I emptied the Subaru into the central aisle, (if you don’t want it to fall, put it on the floor, was my reasoning) I didn’t have time to fool around, putting things away, so I just stuffed everything—boxes, shopping bags, plastic tubs—into the aisle. I pushed everything together tightly, so it wouldn’t slide around in transit.

Omg! Omg! Omg! Packed my Subaru with a ton of stuff, and left my house in the icy, snowy, pre-dawn hours. I picked up Alyssa over in Brooklyn, and drove two hours into Connecticut to pick up The Beast.

Panic Attacks? Happy and Excited? Stress Overload?

March 28, 2015 Clancy McKenna

I’ve been having these episodes, where feel like I ate a bag of candy with a pot of espresso as a chaser. (I don’t eat sugar or drink coffee these days, but have done in the past, so I know the feeling.)  I just suddenly become breathless, shaky, and weak.

I went to the Fall RV Show at Rockland Community College in Suffern, NY with Margaret.  She offered to drive as “Big Red,” her Subaru Forester doesn’t get much use, and Margaret loves a road trip.

More Research

December 13, 2014 Clancy McKenna

I have been so pressured to get work done I've written nothing for the blog all week! But in my latest Class B/van conversion research, I've found information in a few different places that, very few people full-time in a Class B because there is not enough room in the fridge (the reefer?) (Yeah, I'm just learning to speak RV)!

RV Shopping!

December 10, 2014 Clancy McKenna

I drove 50 miles south, to Lakewood New Jersey to Camping World. Gave the receptionist my name, phone # email and address.  Now, it’s official!

Tall Paul, used to play basketball. He played in Europe for couple years after school, played for the Knicks for 3 months. Someone came down on his ankle, and now he sells RVs.  They actually had no class B/vans on their lot at this time.

First Visits To RV Dealers

November 23, 2014 Clancy McKenna

I met a woman, Kath, online, through the Rainbow RV group. She’s also going to retire soon, and has been researching different kinds and classes of RVs. She sent me a link to one that I fell in love with right away, named, “The Pleasure Way,” I have to admit, I got many weird and interesting hits on The Google because initially, I wasn’t careful with my search terms. “How to pleasure your man…” “How To Get More Pleasure In Bed…” But this does look like the perfect van/camper.
